David Mayernik

DM_IMG_0151cropDavid Mayernik is the author of The Challenge of Emulation in Art and Architecture (Ashgate, UK 2013) and Timeless Cities: An Architect’s Reflections on Renaissance Italy, (Westview Press, Icon Editions 2003, paperback 2005). He is a Fellow of the American Academy in Rome (FAAR) and the Royal Society for the Encouragement of Arts, Manufactures, and Commerce (FRSA), and a Member of INTBAU’s College of Traditional Practitioners (MICTP). He has taught at the New York Academy of Art, and is currently a tenured Associate Professor with the University of Notre Dame’s School of Architecture. In the Spring of 2016 he offered an online course on the edX platform called The Meaning of Rome: The Renaissance and Baroque City, which attracted almost 6000 students.
